Born to a business family in Mardan, Muhammad Atif received his high school education from khyber Pukhtunkhwa’s most reputed educational and personality grooming institution; Cadet Collage Kohat.
Coming from an educated family and having a clean political vision, Muhammad Atif always had wanted to utilize his energies in a positive way to contribute to this country and to deliver to this society. It was for this reason; a reason to help a selfless leader to reach his goal, a reason to be a part of an effort to bring a positive change in the miserable lives of the under privileged and un-privileged people of this country, that, Atif formally joined Imran Khan in Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf in 2009 as central joint secretary from KPK. He is also a Core Committee Member and Additional Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf.He is associated to Imran Khan since 90’s.
After his success in general elections 2013, Mr. Muhammad Atif was entrusted the responsibility of Elementary & Secondary Education in the province struck by various clamities like earthquake, floods and terrorism resulting in devastation of infrastructure. He accepted the challenge of reforms in educational sector with firm vitality and commitment and started implementing constructive ideas to develop a sustainable & progressive education system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The sense of sustainability is what comes after ages of education. Education should be focusing on making man a man, rather than producing degree holders. This way man can learn more about his interest and can excel in his field.
Being a member of Provincial Assembly and responsible for Education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Atif understands the importance of literacy. He believes that in order to remove the hitches prevailing in Educational Development, There should be reforms that inculcate smoothly in the society to bring a real change and prosperity.He was also holding the charge of Energy and Power Ministry where he delivered extraordinarily.
After winning election in 2018 he chooses the portfolio of Tourism, Sports, Culture, Youth Affairs and Archeology where he believes the tourism sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had a great potential and can be a major contributor to the economy in near future. In addition to Tourism, Sports and Youth Affairs are interconnected and area of interest for Atif Khan as he is a youth icon for many.
